Family
Northside CIS receives a wide variety of queries relating to family issues. This includes separation and divorce, entitlements for one-parent families, barring and safety orders, fostering and social welfare entitlements for low income families.
Complicated issues such as separation and divorce often involve a number of queries. People can talk to Information Officers about such sensitive issues in a confidential, impartial and informal setting.
Beyond giving the necessary information, the CIS also has close links with agencies specialising in family law. These include the Northside Community Law Centre, which has a weekly free advice clinic, and AIM Family Services.
