Consumer
Northside CIS receives a considerable number of queries relating to consumer problems. People contact the CIS with problems such as faulty goods that companies are refusing to repair or refund, sale goods and faulty workmanship. We assist in providing people with information on their statutory rights as a consumer, explaining how to go about making a complaint against suppliers of goods and services and how to take a case to the Small Claims Court. The Office of the Director of Consumer Affairs has a designated representative for the Northside area, with whom we work closely in helping to resolve consumer complaints.
